Default Headlight question

Does anyone know for sure....? On the standard headlights (that is, without selecting the PDLS headlights option or either of the LED headlights options), do the headlights have the same 4-point LED daytime running lights in a tight square around the xenon headlight lens as they do with the PDLS headlights option?

In other words, do the standard headlights look the same from the exterior as the PDLS ones, excepting of course the darker color housings of the PDLS and the fact that the PDLS ones can swivel?

Yes, base lights have the 4-point running lights now on the 991.2.

Afaik, they do not. The 4 point running lights are only on the LED's. All other lights have the circular surround light as with current PDLS light. I stand to be corrected.

Mech33 is right. The standard lights have the 4-point LED closer together. See the following photo for evidence.

Hope that helps.

Yep. the 991.2 regular Xenon and PDLS (swiveling, dynamic) xenons have the 4 LEDs clustered in a box formation around the single xenon.

the LEDs have LED running lights in a ring around the circumference:

The bi xenon lights do swivel? Do you know if they gave the auto high beam feature as well?

The Xenons with PDLS (black housing) definitely swivel.

However, they do not include high-beam assist functionality. This is part of PDLS Plus offered only with the LEDs.

Does the PDLS plus work on the US spec 991.2 GT3s with LEDs? I thought it didn’t. Maybe I haven’t noticed...

In GT3 (europe spec), the LEDs are PDLS and not PDLS+.
But you can get Xenon with PDLS as option

991.1 Xenon lights though DO NOT have the cluster of 4 LED's around the projector. (in GT Cars)

Instead they have the LED DRL in that same cluster as the blinker.

High beam assist AFAIK wasnt an option on GT cars.
