Default GT2RS wing...Vs....GT3RS wing..?

Does anyone know how different/similar the rear wings of these two monsters are?

Obviously I see the end-caps and uprights are different.

But what about the actual wing itself..? Same dimensions? Same aero characteristics?

To me the angle and wing looked the same at Goodwood.
They weren't side by side but looked same to me and I look at mine every day :-)

But the record setting GT2RS has waaayyy more angle then the 3RS allows.

I’m glad I’m not the only one that stares at my wing. I love that thing!

Yes, it's the wing that shaved off 30sec from the ring time.

Bringing this thread back to life...

991.2 Gt3rs produces 992lbs of DF @ ~187MPH
991.2 Gt2rs produces 919lbs of DF @ 211MPH... aprox 740lbs of DF @ ~187MPH.

We also know the end caps of the rear wing are very different with larger surface favored towards the gt2rs. So what is the difference in the wing profile, shape, size? I believe they are identical width and length so it is the profile change thats gotta be the recipe as the angles are now the same, 3 adjustment points on each, right?

Please lmk and correct me where i have gone wrong,

Ty for the help,

I feel you, where is the additional DF coming from then? Marketing fluff?

Trying to address some issues im having... i think u hit the nail on the head though, why do u think it isnt even much faster? It should be a lot faster... ;-)

I have since closed this out though, the 991,2 gt3rs has significantly more aero versus the gt2rs...

I have owned both cars, I don’t know about on the ring, but the 2RS will yank the paint off a 3RS.

Ty for the help,
Believe also the 3rs generates more downforce despite similar wing shape because the intakes in the 3rs go directly into the engine vs the 2rs where intakes feed the intercoolers which disrupts the flow of air resulting in a parachuting effect with the 2rs. I think it was in one of the vids featuring the .2RS MR.
