I think hagerty does it now too
rates depend on the car, your experience, the agreed value, number of days, etc. They will all quote you online.

If you plan to do more than 7 days a year , The Open Track has an annual car only fee with a 5% deductible and unlimited days at many tracks in NA. My rate this year was $4650.

The single event policies limit agreed upon insured value at 150K. Theopentrack.com has higher agreed upon value amounts. Also, my research indicates the break even is closer to 5 events for a car valued at $150k. Another big issue with single event coverage is that they charge the same for 1 day and multiple day events. This makes it cost prohibitive to enjoy a singe track day event. The annual policy is the only way to go for high value cars.

+1 for Open Track. My rate this year was right around $6K on 200K agreed value. Note: That fee also covers my M2 if I'm using it instead - given that it's obviously much less expensive. It has an agreed value of like $60K I think.

Make sure you read the policy closely. Not all track insurance is the same and some frankly are lousy!

Geico auto insurance covers you as long as it is a HPDE and not a racing event.

The question is, have they been great in the event of a claim?
All insurance is great if it goes unused.

Yep totally agree. Who knows. Then again does anyone know this answer regarding Hagerty, etc etc? Seems like the latest accidents posted here, folks didn’t have insurance at all.

Having said all that I haven’t decided yet if I am going to do a Hagerty HPDE policy for the weekend to be safe as well.

This is the verbage I saw in Geico's coverage doc...
"Principal exclusions include: ...damage caused by participation in and/or preparation for any race, speed, demolition, or stunting activity..."
We know HPDE is not a race... but this makes me wonder if they can interpret it as "speed" related activity. Makes me wonder how they define "speed"?
