Quick vibe / poll now we have details of more choices with this variant of GT3 . (hard to think, model before had pdk only and limited exterior and interior choices, such as seats etc)
Which way will people go now all the talking is done and an order has to be locked in.

To be fair, my order locked weeks ago, so I'd have to put up a pretty big fight to get it changed. But either way I would have still gone with the wing and manual.
Had the Touring came with new classic colors and better interior options I would have really considered it. Or if it added rear seats (my kids are still young and love riding in my C4S).
You can't go wrong with any of the choices in my opinion. Just adds more variety.

Mine has, or about to lock and I'm still leaning towards the wing and manual I originally choose. I also like the alcantara wheel and other bits in the non touring spec but all of that would have not been an issue if there was a rear seat offering. That would have swayed me to go for the touring package.

Wing + PDK for track use - the touring package was never an option for me…
if a GT3 passes you on the autobahn but has no wing was it really a GT3?

For those that like the touring package, but wanted a rear sear was the 991.1 GTS not a close enough match? Having only been a passenger I've trying to understand the differences between the top models as well as against the 997.2 GT3 before considering dipping my toe into the P-Car world.

interesting about 80% of us still going normal GT3. Pretty much what Porsche expected (see evo article).
So while all the fuss and bother when couldn't get an R, when a very similar car is available, we aren't ticking that option anyways.
Still in excess of 60% going manual though overall.

I never liked the wing. It is way too much attention grabber. I hate people coming up and asking is that a gt3 when it says on the badge.
Where I live, the wing attracts cops.
I am so glad that the new wingless gt3 is out (the new 911R lol)
Now for track use the wing is great but for city/highway driving - wing is no go for me. Very grateful that I have choices

I'm actually surprised by the take rate of the touring - ~25% as of this post.
Given the early allocations couldn't/can't spec touring, I think the GT3T will be the most in demand model in the second hand market. I'm still going with wing, but I certainly see the appeal of the touring.

{sigh} now I'm just going to have have to buy both - if they are optioned identically do you think I can get away with telling the wife the "wing" is removable?
