...the ONLY 911 you have. I ask because my car is due in December and want to simplify my car life somewhat and maybe revert back to ONE Porsche. So for guys that already have their car, is this a swiss army knive....track I know - but can you use it for a weekend get away - date night - that sort of thing. My 996 GT3 no way...and I know this one is an evolution or two from that...but if you have only one Porsche, would this do it?

Absolutely. This car does it all. No need for another Porsche or other sports car. Most of us have a SUV or sedan in addition to the gt3

It will be for me.
The 991.1 was a very civilized street car. The 991.1 RS even more so. This new one is supposed to be even better.

From what I am hearing; it may be better but not necessarily more civilized. So far we know it is louder inside but I do not know about it's behavior on the street. With more HP/Torque could be a little trickier for the beginner/novice.

My only Porsche is my RS.

(Wife's Cayenne doesn't count).

easy DD for me.
if you want to soften the stock PASM ride (normal mode OEM) you could try out the DSC V2 controller -- definitely smooths out rough roads (not a 7 series though!) while around town, then helps sharpen suspension on track also.
5 minutes to swap between my GT3 and GT4.

My 2014 991.1 GT3 is my "only car" (other than the dogs' minivan) and the 2019 991.2 GT3 will also be my "only car." (yes, the wife drives a Prius V.) It is my daily driver - about 75 miles/day. I don't feel the need for anything else. IMO, the ONLY downside of daily driving it is the other cars on the road. Sooner or later, some moron will bend your car My 2014 spent 2 months in the shop waiting for the rear bumper cover, tail lights, and a LOT of plastic parts. The fenders weren't even bent!

The only thing a GT car can't offer is top down motoring. That's why I bought this littl gem.

Love the color of the wheels how they contrast against the black

Default I Love Big And Dumb Fixed Wings: A Confession

http://jalopnik.com/i-love-big-and-d...ion-1798627387

"....day-to-day cars shouldn’t be terribly gaudy. If it’s going to have some cool detailing, it should always be done in a tasteful manner. A single stripe here. Maybe an aggressive diffuser there. Canards? Usually better if left off. But all of that goes out the window when it comes to stock wings."

Absolutely. I daily drove my .1 GT3 for two years, including some weekend trips, and also track days.

The 991 GT3 is the perfect Porsche "only one" 911 variant to own now that the GTS has gone turbo.

Nah. Need a cab and aircooled or in my case an air cooled cab.
