2014 GT3s
hey all - are there any known issues or general reasons you wouldn't want to get a 2014 991.1 GT3 vs. a 2015 or 2016??? Considering this as well when the prices drop a bit more.

Very discussed topic, search a few of the threads in this section and you'll find why they are priced below the 15-16's.
Main reason being the engines in the 14's.

Some earlier 2014s are branded. Definitely check CarFax or Autocheck first.

The engines on all the 2014's were replaced, either at the factory or at port. Not a big deal, newer ones have had engines replaced as well. Now there is a 10y warranty on the finger followers. Should be a non-issue.
None of the 2014's had full bucket seats. They were not available. Not an issue if you want sofa seats or will put proper track seats in the car.
The majority of the 2014 cars have had the warranty extended (in the US at least). Easy enough to check & worth something.
A small number of the 2014 cars have 'manufacture buyback' or 'lemon' branded titles. I'd avoid those unless significantly discounted.
Otherwise, it's the same as all the other 991.1 GT3's. Both good and bad.

Lots of 2014's have engine swap, which to me is not a big issue.
I'd more worry about the FF&Camshaft issue for all 991.1, 2014 E engines especially. This bothers me even with the 10-year warranty.
Whenever I push and enjoy the car, I'd be thinking..... 'it could throw me the CEL anytime.'

Also, every 2014 had their engine swapped.
