16' GT3 RS Pricing...
#31
Seems like the highest % of the ones FS are the Purple, maybe they were the most produced. I find this color the lowest on my list of taste.
I have been watching the pricing and while no "sales" data it sure seems the same cars are FS just chasing the market down. Some cars asking $40 over and now are at $20 over and obviously still for sale.
I think there will be some unhappy flippers the second the .2RS gets spied, if it does of course.

I think they will be faced by a rude awakening.
I think if all rs were to sell at msrp.
Or a little lower.
They would move.
OF course my opNioN what does stupid guy like me know.

She is a beauty! MUCH better than UV!! GLWS!
Even at MSRP or slightly lower is debatable in my mind. The .2 GT is faster round the ‘ring than the .1 RS, and let’s say something like $50k less MSRP vs MSRP. Makes the .1 RS look slightly obsolete in comparison, like last year’s iPhone.
Word is that there will be a .2 RS in the Spring.
The only argument favoring the .1 RS over a .2 GT would be the theory that it will likely depreciate less in the long term, since .2 GT production is slated to be “unlimited”.
What will really be interesting to watch now will be the asking prices the flippers / dealers ascribe to their remaining .1 RS inventory, especially those insanely priced 4.0’s.

Colors are like ice cream flavors. Everyone likes something different. My son was driving my RS the other day and I was behind it in my Spyder. I was looking at the RS and I thought to myself what an absolutely incredible car visually and I wouldn't want it in any other color. The LO was gorgeous and perfect for it.
To me PTS colors aren't nicer than any other color. They are only more desirable to those chasing PTS for $ reasons or those wanting a PTS color because they love a particular color. There are those that ordered Ruby Star. I do not like that color at all and would never pick it or want to own it but there are those that do.

The .1 RS is an excellent car. Worth MSRP as it was intended. Do not know if it will be worth it in 6 months though

That's why they are all sitting there. Summer's over- they better start moving them or they will sit a lot longer. First hit is the best hit once the ship has sailed- which it has.

If the .2GT3 RS is going to be a limited production car and numbered it is going to be another 918 owner special and impossible to obtain for mere plebes which will drive the prices of all 991 RS's up . Why? I'm I expecting MSRP base prices of the .2GT3 RS in the $210 to 220k range. Well well option cars in the $260 to 270k range IF you can get an allocation and if you can get one without an ADM. With the more tha likely ADM again expect close to $300k.
Let's keep reality in mind.
My take.

Hard to compare a GT3 and a RS. One is very limited production and one isn't. That being said, there is a 2016 GT Silver RS in East Hampton for sale. Listed in the vehicle market place

A drop in the.1 RS prices will push values of the models below it down also. No one knows what is going to be in six months however.

Interestingly there are about the same number of 991RS and non RS GT3s for sale on the DuPont.
If you want to see what a 6000 production run vehicle looks like for sale look at GT350s. About 1000 or so for sale.

When sellers start asking below MSRP, a psychological barrier will be broken. Right now, there are 82 (EIGHTY-TWO!!) .1 RS cars on Autotrader, starting around $209.

It appears clear to me that the few that are priced under 210 K are lower spec cars putting the asking price is 15 to 20 K over list . The range of cars with between 1500 to 3000 miles still seems to be in the $230,000 range +\- 5k. There were 81 RSs for sale on auto trader.
There were 91 2015 GT3s for sale on auto trader.
Whatever conclusions you want to draw from those numbers .
277 GT350s for sale on Autotrader.
91 488GTBs for sale on Autotrader.

Having just bought one this thread makes me think a lot.....I thinks I'll drive the RS and not worry about what I paid for it or what it will be worth 6 months or a year down the road. I thinks I'll take it the track when I can because it feels at home there. I thinks I'll try to trade it in for a 991.2 RS and not worry that the trade number will be less if I drive it more.
I thinks I'll just enjoy the hell out of the car and not worry about the money spent....I thinks in the end I'll have had a more fulfilling car ownership life by owning one then overthinking what they're worth now, what I should pay for one, or what they'll be worth in the future. That's what I thinks.
