London dealer contact

I'm not sure if this has any relevance to allocations and service but go with dealerships that are owned by Porsche Cars UK directly. Afaik, Hatfield and Mayfair are.

8 years ago when I moved to UK I decided that I wanted to order a 997.2 GT3. I knew nothing of the rarity or the *** kissing required to be allowed to buy a GT car in UK. I called Mayfair, they laughed at me.
I called Reading, they only giggled but took a deposit anyway. I did get a car in the end, so there's that.
If you're after something GT and aren't willing to play the game, don't bother calling central London dealers, their "special customers" lists are full

Assumed so. I have good relationship in US with PNH that I'll still use for new GT purchases. I'm in London for a couple years, wife needs a Macan and I might need a tbd toy but I'm under no illusions I will be vip enough walking in off the street, regardless of my past Porsche purchase history in US. But it's nice to have a no-BS, good SA to help on even easy stuff like a Macan. It's been a long time since I've had to walk in as stranger to a dealership.
