Default .2 GT3 production numbers

Talked with a sales person from a bay area Porsche dealer earlier today. He told me Porsche said they will build enough GT3 to meet the demands this time. I have been calling dealers in CA recently, the markup I have seen are generally b/t 10-20K. For the .1 GT3, around the same time period, I recall the markup is around 30k. Maybe it could be lower, and I wasn't digging as hard back than...

I am wondering, does this mean the production numbers will be significant higher than .1 generation. So that the dealers are "softer" on markups this time ?

PAG released allocations going through November 2018. Will they drop a few more allocations, probably. With that said if you haven't received an allocation yet, then not looking good.

My dealer tells me to be patient.
He's a small dealership and I'm third.
He says they are getting the first one in November.
But when I asked regarding number two he says they haven't got any other allocations yet.
I will keep my deposit there and hope they come through.

Part of it is the bump in MSRP. $130ish base price vs. $144 for the .2.

The rest is probably that more dealers have moved to auctioning allocations. And they are discovering that the market for $200k GT3s is not as big as they thought.

It all depends on whether there's 3rd round of allocation with 2019 build dates.

The GT3 is as popular as ever and the demands for .2 will be far exceed the .1 by perhaps 500-1000 cars. We will need more than 2500 cars to meet the demands since for the .1 GT3s, PCNA delivered about 2000 of them for NA from 2014 to 2016.

Base on the best guesstimate, we only got about 1500 allocations in the U.S. for the .2 through the first two round of allocation with build date from July 2017 through end of 2018.
