1957-58 Ferrari 250 Testarosa ?!
A change of pace from pricing threads. I stayed in Yosemite last night and spotted mechanics working on this Ferrari 250 testarosa. The owner was doing a rally / tour before driving into Monterrey. There can't be many of these around and most are likely in the hands of collectors who don't drive them much. A beautiful car being enjoyed as intended...now back to driving my GT3...

Whew, finally added jmg3 to the ignore list. Looks like I was member 445 to do so.
Anyway; wonderful looking car. Definitely a (nearly) priceless piece of automotive history. But, it's nice to see someone driving it. Monteray Car Week was and always is on my list each year, but I haven't made it in forever.

No surprise
There is an original in Chicago but that collection at Pebble beach is astounding.

I heard a rumor at the hotel the car was going to be driven by Derek Bell. I can't confirm if true. I am a Porsche guy, so don't know a lot about Ferraris, but all of the basics were there indicating it was the real deal. Coolest thing were the Weber Carbs with Ferrari etched on them. That along with the red valve covers were true car ****....

My buddy drove his during the Concorso drive before his brakes went out completely. He was able to drop it into second, turn engine off and slowly pull handbrake to get it to a stop.. scary stuff. Here we are back at his house last night with his mechanic working on it .. even prettier in person (the car not my buddy)
