Exclamation Austin Schnell Fest @ COTA - Nov 17-19th (West Coast Guys Wanted)

I'm planning on heading back to COTA for the Austin Schnell Fest (PCA & BMW CCA group) @ COTA for a 3-day weekend track event on Nov 17th to Nov 19th. I already have my flights and hotel booked...now just want to figure out the logistics of getting my car shipped there and back from the West Coast. Anyone from the West Coast want to get in on transporting their car over?

I'm also looking to rent a garage (each garage easily fits 4 cars), down to rent a garage with anyone.

Who going?

Not sure yet, leaning towards the GT4 but may bring out the Voodoo RS. How about you?

If I go, it will be my 2014 GT3. Registration opens on 9/15 right?

I am planning on going.

Car will be coming from the East though, instead of Norcal.

If you need a referral for an enclosed transport autobroker, let me know.

Perfect...can they do arrive and drive for me (drop it off Friday AM and pick it up Sunday PM) and then do post track nut/bolt check on it afterwards before I ship it back?

Just a fair warning, the last event was so insanely crowded, you could never really get any clean laps in. The skill level was also sorely lacking from my experience as well, so plan accordingly. I would consider looking into an Edge Addicts or Chin event for a superior experience. That said, I'll be there since I'm local. If I had to ship my car, get a room, etc., I would skip it for another event.

I heard the same from my friends down there, we attended when it was the TriFecta and it was a blast. Hear it is super crowded now.

Save your time and money with the BMW/PCA COTA events unless you are racing. Too crowded and too little track time. Charges arm+leg for garages.

Chin will give you all the track times than you will ever want. Last time I was with them I get three full 30 min sessions, 4th session was almost 45 minutes. And then there is the happy hour. Make sure to fill your car up!

I would be perfect to make a stop there on the way back from CA, but I can't that week.
Never been to COTA!

Guys guys guys....another reason why I'm heading over to COTA is for the yummy BBQ, I've never had the kind of brisket that I've had in Texas in my life....maybe the cows on the West Coast are too liberal, who knows. The BBQ is a low carb eater's paradise (just have to skip the sides). haha I already have my flights and hotel booked so no going back now.

If you're ever at Sebring or just in Tampa, in general, I'll treat you to the best brisket you can get in these parts.

Oh man, that makes it very tempting to come out there. I didn't know that they had good brisket in FL, but I'd love to be proved wrong.
