...which one would you keep? 993tt all original with hard backs - essentially mint or new 991.2 GT3 stick. Not sure if I should be this deep ($!) in 911s. Oh and by the way, selling the Targa is a non starter as it is wife's PTS car.

Sell while you're ahead and enjoy the .2GT3, worry free for 5 years.

Selll me both the 993TT and the 991.2 GT3 stick. I hoard not sell. My personal view is that 993s are the only porsches now with upside left so between the two I would keep the 993TT. Everything else is bubble gum. I plan to be the guy (metaphorically speaking) buying blower Bentley for pennies on the dollar in the next depression, but I need stuff to drive now. Last dip I bought defenders and long nose dirt cheap, should have bought GT porsches, but that was not in the budget (well one was, but alas I am an idiot).

The TT seems much, much more special to me. I'd want the GT3 because I'd be tracking it, but if not for that I'd keep the classic.

Looking at your Porsche history, how would you rate your 993 tt in the lineup, irrespective of the .2 GT3? Would it be the one you would pick if you still had them all and had to make a choice? If so, you should keep it. If any other model would match the 993tt, ask yourself what quality such other had which the 993tt does not have and then consider whether the .3 GT3 would shine in this area.

Best
Tobias

PS: I have a similar "dilemma" going on, with currently a 993 targa, a 996.1 GT3 CS and a Boxster Spyder 987 sitting in my garage and a .2 GT3 coming in next year - one of my current lineup will need to go....!

Keep the 993TT. There will always be a new GT3 but they don't build those air cooled turbo anymore.

I'm going to go against the grain here.

I've had 4 993TT, including the famous S tweetie bird. Old P cars leak, don't hold a charge and are slow and heavy feeling. I'd much rather have a .2 GT3 with manual.

If there is a correction and the 993 is worth 50k less next year, how would you feel? If you say it doesn't matter, I love this thing, keep the 993. If you say I would kick myself for not cashing out the old dog and getting the latest and greatest for no additional cost, it's time to trade.
