When I purchased my 2016 GT3 all the warranty information (typical Porsche with a special line item just for the engine) was included in the paperwork at the time of purchase. While obviously no one can know what "All GT3 991.1..." cars have, THAT'S how I'm sure my car is covered.

Not all dealers will know, but all 991.1 GT3 engines are covered worldwide. It doesn’t matter if they initially know or not. The mothership (PAG) knows.

Great cars!

thanks a lot.
do you suggest me to pretend something written before car purchase or I doesn’t care about it, cause the PAG (I imagine use Porsche HQ) know about that?
thanks for your support, it’s vital😊

No need to get it in writing. It is very public knowledge.

great! So my choices right now it will increase a bit, as I could seriously consider all Gt3’s from 2014 to 2016 without thinking about the engine 😂😂😂

That’s is an amazing news and thanks a lot for your support. I’ll let you know what I’ll choose, as I’m seriously fighting from Mk1 or Mk2. Save some bucks or spend all my money? Hard question ahahaha

Thanks for your advices! Now I’ll have more choices to consider as I could look at all 2014/2016 GT3 without thinking about engine warranty.

the etern doubt will be: save some money taking 2014/2015 older gt3 or spend a bit more/wait a bit for an mk2?
dilemma😂

You are good with any 2014 to 2016, so just find the one that meets your criteria best. The .2s are awesome cars as well, and if you want a manual they are your only choice. And then for the price of a .2 GT3 you can get a .1 RS, or a 997 GT3 RS, which are also great cars. And then you start looking at 458s and Scuderias and all hell breaks loose.

Enjoy the search!

I’m coming from Alfa Romeo 4c and lotus Evora 410... great cars but too many issues and no support from HQ. So I’m looking to something reliable with great service. I’m not super rich so I’ll exclude 100%exotic cars as they have high running cost. I want something to make 4/5 track days per year and make some gt trips. I think that gt3 will be fine... but I read too many bad things about mk1 that I’m scared as the 80% of my bucket as any petrol maniac going there... I don’t want any bad surprise🤬🤬🤬

In my case it would be Ex #3. In this case I don't think 3 of a kind beats a pair.

As long as it's silver and has a wing I'm good!
