Advice Needed - SC 2 N1's
I have an opportunity to pick up a set of slightly used, almost new N1's from a Porsche dealer. I asked how they came by them and was told they came off a new RS. The customer took delivery and wanted them changed out immediately for another tire. The dealer bought them from the customer.
I thought these tires were only available in Europe at the moment. In any event, I need a set of rears now due to an untimely screw in one of my rear tires (probably not repairable as it is very close to the inner wall) this weekend. I was going to replace all four in the spring with the N1's (due for US sale end of year), should I wait and just buy two N0 rears or go for all four of the N1's.
BTW, measured thread is 7/32's same as new and they are heat cycled. Viewed pic's and they look new to me. Price is reasonable compared to 4 new N0's

Will the "new" N1's ( the ones that the 991.2 GT3 ran 7:12 at the "ring) be available soon? If so wait til then , if they come in RS sizes. My understanding is that they are a different compound than the "old" N1 on the RS.

I would check the date stamps on each tire, as although they are "new" as per dealer, they may have been manufactured in 2015.

yep, just noticed in his signature he has a GT3, not an RS...so in that case definitely wait for the "new" N1's!!!!
OP--GT3 sizes are:
F - 245/35/20
R - 305/30/20
9x20 F 55 offset
12x20 R 47 offset
RS sizes :
F - 265/35/20
R - 325/30/21
9.5x20 F
12.5x21 R

I just discovered that the tires are not the same size. The dealer told me they were for a GT3 originally then called me to tell they were RS tires and that they would not fit. Thanks to all for pointing this out. Back to the drawing board.
