PS - really enjoyed your meeting recap on page 1 and the pics throughout.
PPS - anyone raise the "I built a 1 of 1 manual GT3 RS" thread? Would have been a great lunch topic, just say'n.
yep. We discussed with Dr. Walliser. I was going to show him the video and he says "I've seen the video." He was clearly impressed by the build but we didn't discuss further. He is on Rennlist regularly. Was amazed about his knowledge of several threads here.

I did talk to Frank Walliser about manuals and he feels as I do that not that many guys who track their cars will opt for manuals. It is the guys who enjoy their cars on the roads that will opt in for a manual.. i guess we shall see..

This is great news, awesome job to everyone involved and thanks for taking the time to share and document the whole meet process. Very interesting read.
Good job on Porsche for stepping up and taking care of its owners.

Andreas works for Frank Walliser.. Would you have rather had Andreas or Frank? I want the guy most responsible and we got him..

Rob: kudos to you guys. I am very happy and impressed with the professionalism in your approach and handling of this troubling issue and black cloud following these wonderful cars and creating anxiety for owners.

This should restore the confidence we all had in PAG and these cars restoring their luster and desirability.

Well done!

Rob (and collective), huge congratulations for running this project to a satisfactory conclusion. I know how much time and energy you must have invested in this and the fruits of your labour will be enjoyed by many owners for a long time to come. Although I had no part in this initiative, I see it as the natural extension of the work that Sunil and myself started in 2014 under the "GT3 World Wide Owners Group" banner and this I feel like in some small way you have delivered a win on those earlier efforts (long before the finger follower issue had even been identified). Again well done gents, you are a huge asset to this community!

Thanks Mark. It means a lot coming from you. I had no idea what a finger follower even was until I started reading your informative posts. Your dedication over many months took us most of the way. You helped us understand that something was off here, and you helped paint a clearer picture. All we did was finish what you started.

Well done! Team effort!

By the way, you were right all along when you said Porsche would step up. Great company!

This is a huge relief, thanks so much to the team that made it happen. Even though my car has not had any engine issues in over 2 years, I was very worried about the long term integrity of the engine. This sorts the problem out completely for me.

Fantastic work guys - really appreciate the work that went into this outcome. This eliminates any concern of keeping the GT3!

I wanted to be clear on some of the wording in case I miss understood it...

What I think is meant:
Porsche will replace the engine (with the new developed cams) WITHIN 120,000miles/10 years whichever comes first as long as it is related to the cam finger follower issue? Is this correct?

And not:
Porsche will provide a warranty for the engine for 120,000miles/10 years whichever comes first as long as it is relating to this issue. (PLUS) In addition Porsche will replace the engine (with the new developed cams) pertaining to this issue life long?

I'd appreciate the clarity in the wording. Thanks
