Default Head and neck restraint

I'm looking for a good neck protection that doesn't have the high collar that goes all the way up behind the helmet (like the HANS does) because that makes the head and neck to lean forward too much when siting in the car.

Two devices that has low collar (that hopefully doesn't interfere with the seat back) is the "NecksGen Rev 2 Lite" and the new "Schroth SHR Flex".

Do you guys have any experience of these two devices with low collar?
Which one of them should I buy?

I recently bought the Schroth Flex for the same reason. It's effective and works as advertised. The lack of padding made it uncomfortable to wear under the harness belts, sore after a couple sessions. I didn't bring the HANS III and wish I had. I put the Schroth back in the box and reinstalled the HANS III when I got home.

I use a regular hans. But I'm pretty sure though the Simpson Hybrid doesn't have the high collar either. Maybe worth your while checking that one out too ...

Is it possible to take the padding from the Hans and Velcro it to the bottom of the Schroth and make it comfortable enough to wear?

I use the Simpson Hybrid FIA . Works ok with either buckets or sports seats.

I have the Schroth and I was experiencing the same thing. I took the padding from my HANS and used some Velcro tape to make the Schroth more comfortable. It works well. The Schroth doesn't dig into the headrest of the LWB. Overall, works well.

I'll give it a try.

I went with the Simpson Hybrid in CF. I also have Crazy Eddie's headrest protectors. No problems.
