Get custom seat covers made.. $500 all in, pepita, tartan, corduroy, Mickey Mouse.. go crazy. They just Velcro in and out anyway.. easy fix.

I'd like something like that to prevent the wear of the LWBs ...

I was thinking it's funny that you have to pay extra to have black stitching so that your car does not have deviated stitching. I wonder if someone will actually pay for that option....

I was in the camp of not liking the seat stripes but the truth is you won't see them when you're sitting on them

I figure they will grow on me.

I would pay for black stitching but I dislike alcantara and the only way to get black stitching is to get the extra alcantara with the leather alcantara package. Between an alcantara lower dash and door coves etc and the limited deviated stitching on the standard interior I am torn.

Was not feeling them based on the configurator, but they look good in live photos.

The 3D configurator now renders custom stitching colors (at least it did for Racing Yellow stitching), and it shows *no seat stripe* when the custom stitching is selected. I suspect the custom deviated stitching cars will have plain alcantara inserts after all!

Intersting! I asked exactly this question when I was at Exclusive recently in Stuttgart. My current order has yellow stiching, and the consultant confirmed that there is no stripe! he said how "ugly" this would look like and Exclusive would not do such things....so I need ti give him a call to confirm. for me the stripe is a no go with diviated stiching, like it with red or silver.

Can others confirm that deviated stitching deletes the alcantara stripe? My order locks the first week of October and this change would likely push out my delivery date from Dec to 2018.

no it doesnĺt delete the stripe. Choosing the deviated stitching option ($3500 USD), which lets you pick deviated stitching in a menu of other colors besides platinum grey or red, causes the stripe on the LWBs to be platinum grey. This is according to the Porsche Exclusive rep in atlanta to whom I asked this question directly and she got the answer from Germany.

Only way to delete stripe from LWBs in GT3 is either get the Touring Package, which has black corduroy style cloth with no stripe, or else opt for CXX custom tailored seats ($8700 USD extra), which lets you spec custom materials on the seats.

OK, thanks. The 3D configurator shows no LWB stripe with deviated stitching, got me hopeful for a while.

Thx for the info. I have LWB on my .1. My initial .2 build submitted had the LWB but I was waiting to see how to delete the stripe. My build has now been changed to the 18-ways. The stripe did it.

TBH the seats are my biggest disappointment about these car. I have 14 ways in my 991 Turbo S and they are uncomfortable in the shoulder area. The LWB on the GT3 should recline. Oh well the rest is perfection.

If helpful, I can also confirm the same per PCNA 918 Client Relations Manager - only way to delete stripe from LWBs in GT3 is to opt for CXX (for approximately $9,000) to configure custom seats, or select the touring package with black cloth seat centers.

I have a confirmed 991.2 GT3 PTS November 2017 build but currently considering the touring package option which would move my build date back to March 2018 with factory paint option only.

I'm curious when or if this changed, since this original thread. I have the LWBs in a winged GT3 with no CXX options...only deviated, yet did not get the silver stripe as others had said they received.

What happened?
