I have doubt for two versions...I think just the cup edition and it go to the 992 platform? no?

That's what I'm thinking also. The market is already saturated with .1 RS's and soon to be GT3's. Plus they're running out of time if launch is intended to be Geneva. That gives a production window of only 6 months before the 992 bows.... and they'll be busy churning out GT3's and GT2 RS's during that window...

It is customary to overlap models from 2 generations for a model year (at the start of a new generation). Has been this way since 1989 (last year of 911 3.2L and first year of 964 C4 - examples same for 993, 996, 997, and 991)

I wonder if that will be feasible going forward as Porsche volumes have climbed since that time. Manufacturing two generation of cars concurrently cannot be very efficient unless they are produced in separate factories.

Doesn't seem to be a problem for them - they've figured it out. There are far too many 991 variants forthcoming for them to stop them before beginning the 992 builds. It is virtually certain that Model Year 2019 will include both 991 and 992 generations. That happens every 7 years...
