Default Cabin Filter Change

Pretty straight forward to do. The one in the trunk is especially easy (just 5 or 6 clips which pop open and you can easily pull/insert the filter)

The one actually in the cabin underneath the footwell of passenger side is a bit trickier. Its in a very tight space and there are 3 plastic screws holding the foam cover in place. The 3 screws must be removed in order for the filter cover to fully open. It also takes a bit of an angle approach to remove and insert the filter. Make sure to pay attention to the air flow orientation (see pics)

I wrote with a sharpie the date in which it was changed as a reminder for future replacement

good idea on writing the date. i just changed my filters a couple weeks ago too and keep track of it in an excel chart, but i do like the idea of writing it on the actual piece. gonna have to do that next time

Also FCP Euro sells them and you get free lifetime replacement.

Recently did both of these with filters from FCP Euro. Super simple and took less than 5 minutes for the one under the frunk and maybe 5-10 minutes for the one in the cabin. No need to pay anyone to do this.
