Having fun at Road Atlanta

Went to Road Atlanta with my Cayman and Chin Track Days.i built the car to GTB1 specs (other than dive planes). Fun to drive and finally got the setup right. I think i can get a few more seconds...

Nice driving. Wish we had spent some time talking about our Caymans while we both were there. I've been building out my 981S while I wait for my .2 GT3 to arrive. It was a hard weekend to turn good times, given the heat and humidity. I also had to remove some cracked headers from my car, so I felt like I was particularly down on power. But I was trying R7s for the first time, which helped me get down to a 1.37 flat. Hoping to get into the 1:35s in the fall with repaired headers and cooler temps. Still a good bit off the 1:33s in my last GT3.

Great lap!

Couple things:

U need to hammer down that gas pedal much sooner.

Try to avoid any coasting.

U need to blip harder on downshift, this will give you more exit speed out of corners.

Going down the esses, do it in 4th gear

Dont shake the steering wheel like that in corner 7. U should be ready to counter wheel if the rear kick while applying the throttle.

10b , let the car track out, open more your hands, its too tight right now, your holding the car.

very cool! We will a have to catch up next time I'm up there... It may be in my 991.2 GT3 as well, so we can have fun in those as well (I need a bigger trailer!).

Excellent observations, Seb. Thank you!

I always appreciate your guidance and you are right on. I'll keep these in mind and make it happen next time I'm there.
