Brembo disassembly
So the Bentley manual simply says " remove wear indicators and harness". However a careful inspection reveals there are some sort of releases to remove the indicators, maybe I'm wrong but forcing them isn't my way. Since I do not wish to learn the tricks by breaking one I'm looking for council on how to remove the wear indicators intact, thanks in advance.

They are a PITA. There's no great way to remove them other than pulling them off. Compressing the metal clip/release you are referring to doesn't seem to do anything. There is a chance they will crack during the process. This is the reason Porsche recommends that they be replaced with new ones with each pad change. If you break one, replace it or just zip tie it out of the way.

Check it out, I found a way (I'm sure others have too) to simply allow them to stay connected and out of the way. I am only disassembling the brakes for cleaning and the fluid service switch to Motul RBF 600. I want the rotors off to paint the hats hence the removal, thanks for the reply.

If you are not swapping brake pads, then you can just disconnect the wiring harness and leave the sensors attached to the pads.

Just did a brake change on my Spyder, and luckily was able to remove them without breaking them. Mine didn't seem to give too much trouble...

My pads are good so I am going to leave them alone period, however, I can't see how they wouldn't break transferring them to another set of pads, I'm sure they want them replaced with each brake job.

If you are taking them out, be prepared to to replace them. They usually become very fragile after couple thousand miles. As mention above, if you break it, replace it or just zip tie it somewhere not interference with the wheel/suspension. I always to change brake pads before they run to the backing plate, so I just zip tie them on my cars.
