FVD tune results
My first OP, I wanted to share the results of an FVD tune I applied last week and contribute something to the forums that so often help me.
The hardware: 2007 987.1 CS with Fabspeed exhaust, IPD plenum+GT3 TB, de-snorked, stock headers and cats. Approx. 15K miles on engine.
1st pull baseline (pre-tune) 273.0 hp / 242.3 t
applied tune
each subsequent pull ~ +2 hp
9th pull post - tune 289.9 hp / 258.1 t
Net gain 16.9 / 15.8. Assuming 12% driveline loss I'm at 330 crank hp.
Pulls 10 and 11 were octane boosted but were only 283 hp. The tuner at the shop with the dyno said he sees this with N/A cars, the boost only helps under heat saturation conditions at the track in warmer conditions.
I'm not sure if the graph is showing the pull 9 or 11 for the after in red but either way I am satisfied with the results.

$1000. Includes a device called MyGenius used solely for their tunes. They send you that with cables, you read your ECU, send them the file and your mods and they send you a tune file the next day. I liked this approach as I can reload my original file at anytime for emissions inspection.

yes, FVD pointed me towards a local shop that they had heard about from other clients, not a reseller, that had an AWD dyno. FVD said that it is preferred as the ECU may detect differnt speeds at either end and that it may screw up the results.
The shop I used charged me $135 for 1.5 - 2 hours of labor. They had an AWD dyno as they are a Subaru specialist.
