I got my 2011 Boxster S in early February 2011 for almost $8K below sticker. I'd hate to think what it would be worth now but my guess is at least $10K less than what I bought it for (well, actually, I'm only in a 24 month lease because I couldn't wait for the 981 to come out). And that ties into another factor, consider the 987's resale value of when when the 981 does come out some time in 2012.
One thing that may work in your favor now is that there's not a lot of new Boxster S inventory. That may help stablize your resale value. If you decide to trade the Boxster, find a brand that's offering steep discounts to help minize your loss (or perhaps a Porsche dealer will give you a good deal on a Panamera or Cayenne).
