Hi guys
I have search every were for an answer on this but cannot find much tbh
I have a 2010 cayman 987.2 with the PDK gearbox
I am thinking of upgrading my exhaust to a top gear valved exhaust, but the couple of videos that i have found on youtube say that there is a drone sound between 2-3k revs while cruising with the PDK gearbox.
what are your thoughts guys as i dont want to spend over 1k on an exhaust that i will need to take of after getting anoyed with the drone noise.
anyone else fitted a top gear valved exhaust to a 987.2 with PDK

every aftermarket exhaust runs the risk of drone, no matter who claims what.

you can mitigate the drone by controlling your rpm with the pdk in manual mode.
I cannot comment on the top gear exhaust, but valved exhausts will certainly give you the option to not have drone if you close the valves.

some valved systems are compatible with your homelink….. not all, but I was able to program my valve controller with home link buttons on my R8 so no fumbling for remote.
