These guys lost credibility... can you identify the big mistake? And this was posted 6 month ago without correction.

Normally bore scoring involves the pistons on the other side, but that's not a mistake because this video was shot because they changed plugs and noted that #1 had an issue. What I noticed though is that the piston looked impossibly clean! Just normal combustion would have deposited quite a bit of carbon on the top, but this engine should have been even worse with what it has been burning.
So I give up, what's the "big mistake"?

I'm play devil's advocate... What side?
Is it really cylinder#1? What cylinder normally scores on a M9X engine?
When did he show the actual piston. Did you see the cylinder bore scope images starting at 7:15?
Instead of me just telling you the answer, look at the 4:20 min mark. What cylinder is he actually referring to in the video? Is it bank1 or bank2?

Normally it's #6, so he didn't identify the cylinder correctly, confused it with a rear engined 997!
Regarding the piston, we don't see the sides but we certainly see the top of it — looked to me like a recently cleaned piston that maybe was put back in just to make the video.

The top of my pistons were clean too, but the piston skirt and cylinder bores is where the bore scoring party happens.
