Default New to me 987.2 - solid deal?

Somewhat of an impulse buy but I have been lurking long enough to have enough knowledge to be dangerous.... since I purchased my 996.2 Cab last year the Porsche bug bit my wife and she has been asking me to find her (us) a Boxster. Although I was looking to target something below $10k I was reluctant to jump into another car with an IMSB engine to mitigate the risk, no matter how small....

Well a 2009 base with PDK and Sport Chrono pops up on CL/Cargurus/Carfax.... 136k miles and $11.4k price with a 90 day warranty. Heres the kicker, one owner local car with all maintenance done at the Porsche dealer next to the BMW dealer that took it in trade. I verified the service history, took the car for a drive and wrote a check.....

Interior is perfect and exterior paint is what I would expect on a 130k mile car, standard hood chips, a couple of scratches on the sides. Small crease on rear bumper cover.... Classic "from 10 feet away it looks perfect", though. Got the car home, polished up the headlights, gave it a detail.... now I have to find a quiet road and test out launch control.....

The boxster definitely feels like a track car in comparison to the 996....

Am I nuts or is this a reasonably good buy? Thoughts?

With up to date maintenance and a confirmation that everything is working and no salvage title that seems like a great deal. Yes the mileage is higher but really if mechanicals were treated properly and the car is in good shape you have plenty of additional miles to enjoy the car and for $11k there’s really nothing that comes close in overall driving experience.

Extremely good deal. You will have some maintenance along the way, but the 9A1 motor and PDK tranny have thus far proven to be quite reliable!

That’s an awesome buy with zero risks really. Enjoy it! I’m sure it will bring many years and miles of happiness.
