PDLS vs PDLS Plus
Good evening gents.
Can someone explain the exact differences between the US version of these two options? Any chance someone has come up with a hack to reprogram to euro specs.

Just the auto high-beam, AFAIK. There's another feature I thought was part of PDLS+, but I think both PDLS and PDLS+ have it: at higher speeds, the light output somehow increases. Translation of Porsche manuals is absolutely awful, so don't know what the hell their exact wording means (just like many other features). Anyway, mostly a gimmick, so few dealers order it. You wouldn't be missing much without it.

I have PDLS+ (not a US car) and it is poor. Street signs and cats eyes confuse it and you feel sometimes that you are blinding cars coming towards you as the high beam stays on albeit it must be dipped.
It also doesn't work very well at all when you come up behind a car.
Not worth the money at all IMO, the technology Porsche use just isn't smart enough.

According to the 981 Boxster Brochure, PDLS + adds one feature:
"The optional Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus (PDLS+) has an additional feature. Dynamic main beam control identifies the car in front as well as oncoming traffic and adapts the range of the light cone automatically to the particular situation, switching smoothly between dipped and main beam."
Whether it's worth the additional cost is in the eye of the beholder.
