I lease cause I get new cars every 3 years or sooner if I go into the same make.It is a weekend car so I have not gone over 7 k a year. Is the MF of .00100 sound right. I know residual is set by porsche. I will see if I can get dealer to give the 7%. I'm pretty excited to know I may be jumping Brands, always wanted a Porsche. I just make me feel better knowing I got close to the best possible deal, especially since maintenance all falls on me.But I am willing to to make the switch,Bmws maintenance was great but I am not going to let that play into my decision of switching. Especially that I got the wife finally talking about porsche, lol.

I guess you can say that. I did not leave the down payment they wanted me to leave 1k. They are not running credit check or ordering car till deposit is left. I told them in two weeks when I'm fully decided. He put me under the gun a little to sign but figured ok being I'm leaving no deposit.

Your 5% is good. Sure you might be able to get 7%. But if hands already shook, to me it is considered bad form to re-negotiate. But yes, you are entitled to get as best as a deal you can get and it doesn't look like you solidify a deal anyways.
I agree with others, omitting some of the options like PDK will get you where you want to be payment wise. I wouldn't be so concern with a couple of ticks to 60mph. By omitting PDK, you can save more than $40/mo. But I have been called a purist before....
Another factor hasn't been mentioned yet, and that is supply. If the last few allocations were short and production has slowed, then a dealer might not want to take a low grossing deal.

OP just said he signed something...question is what did sign?
No Porsche dealer in the US is going to have to worry about getting a 718 allocation...are you serious?

The paper really says nothing at top but lease 51 at top. On the bottom where I signed it says , This order not subject to cancellations Deposit non-refundable which I did not give. Also signed on same paper balance in cash or certified check due on delivery.

Sounds like a buyers order. Not binding if no deposits given.

OP,
I am in the same boat regarding the 718. I'm just in no rush and will likely purchase.
My experience with the 2017s comes from the Atlanta Porsche experience on track and during a FastLane tour in Germany.
I drove a 2017 CS, and Targa S on the track for a day and the C4S in Germany for about 1500KM. The Boxster 718 and 718 S were limited to autocross and only briefy.
PDK for me is a must with the turbo engines. The near instant no lift shifts are part of the reason virtually no lag is noted. The throttle body is never closed. In fact Porsches DRS holds the TB open just a bit and backs off the timing to keep the turbos spooled to a lesser degree with less spirited driving. PDK was just amazing as was the sport plus mode in gnrl. I drove the car in sport plus all the time in Germany and that includes PASM.
I experimented with PASM and I loved it on. I'd expect the same for the 718. I hit 278kph on the unrestricted autobahn and 250kph+ many many times and PASM really made a difference. It felt more confidence inspiring by far. I did switch it off in town when the roads got bumpy and it was indeed noticeably more comfortable.
The sport exhaust defaults on with sport plus too. It sounded better, I liked it, and had it on the whole time, but personally, not enough to warrant the $$$.
I'm waiting to drive the Cayman S or possibly the GTS before I pull the trigger. I also need help with color, and interior options. I will limit the options to a minimum though. I'm going to drive it like I stole it LOL.
Just my 2 cents

Base price 66,300

I guess you can say I signed a order forms. I told sales person before I left it was going to some more research before I actually leave a deposit and said I think there is a little more room to negotiate.
