FABSPEED MOTORSPORT | Porsche 718 Boxster / Cayman Exhaust Suite Launch
Fabspeed is proud to announce the release of our Exhaust Suite for the 718. We have developed solutions from tips to turbo to help you meet your power, aesthetic, and sound goals. The 718 with its turbo boxer four cylinder engine is quite the departure from the flat-six power plant of the previous generations. Many will mourn the loss of the screaming six - and some may protest the new voice of the 718. We set out to focus on offering components to enhance select aspects of the vehicle. If you’re interested in coaxing out turbo noise alone, the Sport Catalytic Converter meets your needs. If you’d like to bring out the boxer rumble and an aggressive soundtrack filled with crackles and pops, we have two exhausts to choose from.
All components are currently available. Please see more information on each product by visiting the product threads below:
Supercup Turboback Exhaust System
The ultimate solution for performance, with 3" mandrel bent tubing to reduce turbo lag and 36lbs / 16.4kg of weight while offering an invigorating increase in turbo sound and boxer rumble.
Streetsport Catback Exhaust System
Fabspeed's Streetsport Catback Exhaust System increases sportiness, aesthetics, and performance by replacing the rear exhaust section with a freer flowing light weight performance solution that saves 18 lbs / 8.2 kg.
Sport Catalytic Converter
Increase exhaust flow by replacing the restrictive factory catalyst for a high flowing German imported 200-cell HJS HD catalyst to unlock the ideal blend of performance, efficiency, and increased turbo presence
Deluxe Bolt-On Tips (for Stock OEM Mufflers)
Increase the aesthetic appeal of your 718 Boxster /Cayman with sporty exhaust tips that give your car the look to match its performance
Our components fit both base model and S models. Our development vehicle was a base Boxster and we will be offering more dyno information and sound clips on S models as soon as possible. If you are an S owner interested in participating in the development process please let us know.

The factory exhaust pipes split the exhaust stream along two pipes. This arrangement is similar to the fabspeed catback exhaust. This split not only distributes exhaust gases but also thermal dissipation. The supercup turboback is one larger exhaust pipe. What are thermal implications of concentrating the heat dissipation of one pipe onto the surrounding heat shields of the vehicle? Do you anticipate higher temperatures from the supercup exhaust vs the factory exhaust?

Hi John - have you guys looked at changing the header design? I understand that the "subaru" sound comes from unequal length headers (at least in subarus) and so I wanted to know if it's possible to fit the 718 with equal length headers? Don't know if there are packaging limitations that prevent this kind of header design.
thx,

Hey mts! We designed both of these systems to have minimal drone; there is an increase in tone and volume but by no means is the system unbearable or even close on the highway. I have a customer with a 718 CS in the shop right now and I will do a driving session with that car before it leaves to give a better idea of exhaust tone inside/outside, for fly-by's, hard acceleration, etc. Look out for it in a few weeks!

Still making revisions on our 718 headers - should have more info shortly as we just had a 718 Cayman S arrive for more R&D.
Also, 718 (and 991.2) ECU Tuning is now available! Dyno charts by the end of the week
http://www.fabspeed.com/2017-porsche...peed-ecu-tune/
2.0T models typically see +55/80ft-lbs with the 2.5T picking up +60hp/80ft-lbs and significant driveability improvements - better throttle response and a much smoother/more linear powerband.
