JAhmed's 2016 Cayman GTS
UPDATES ON PAGE 3 as of 08/09/2017
Hey everyone,
After many years of hard work and Rennlist stalking, my very own Porsche Cayman GTS has finally arrived! I purchased the car new at Porsche Barrington in Barrington, Illinois and drove it back to Akron, Ohio yesterday. Needless to say, I am totally in love with the car. My car was apparently the last 981 GTS delivery to be made to this particular dealership, so I feel extremely fortunate to have had the opportunity to purchase it. It is a 0Q white example, with 6MT, PTV and X73 suspension. The car is also equipped with some body color interior trim, Bose Audio and the standard (manual) seats. I have many plans for this car, including plenty of track time and lots of miles! I snapped a few pictures with my (admittedly old) phone, but will work on getting some better ones taken shortly!

Didn't know deliveries were still taking place this late. I was told I got one of the last ones, and this was in February. Ha ha. Congrats, and enjoy it. You have all the performance options, so it should be awesome for the track.

Thank you both! I wanted a really simple build with all the performance options, so I am quite happy with the result. I have lots of modification planned for this car in the coming years, but one thing is for sure...it is a keeper!

Congrats! Great options to round our a great sports car!
So did you spec the car or did the dealer spec it?

The dealer did the spec. I had been looking at a variety of 981s for many months, but had a strong preference for something simple (6MT, X73 specifically). I had looked at dealerships in NY, OH, CA and finally Illinois before I came across a new car build that hit all the marks for me. This car was originally ordered by a sales manager at the dealership (apparently in an effort to get an NA car before the 718s took over production), but he backed out of the car. The senior sales manager at the dealership is friends with a family member of mine, and contacted me about the car. Considering the way it all worked out, I truly feel fortunate to find one so close to the way I'd have ordered it anyway
