The red inserts look a bit busy for me. When, if, I get a Spyder I'd be interested in the bi-chromic ones.

Love the look of both sets!!! Trying to imagine what it would look like with red interior.

There's another thread for 981 based Spyders modifications and one of the posters there has same fabric inserts for his car which is silver exterior with the classic interior which is red but a different red than the 987 based Spyders but it will give you an idea

Awesome. I have been thinking about doing mine. Is it easily interchangeable?

The inserts on the 987 are held in place by Velcro...I suspect the 981 inserts are the same...

Swap in and out in maybe a minute or two

For anyone who is in the Northern NJ area I will be attending cars and coffee events and will have the different inserts with me if you want to see in person...

OMG !!! Stunning. Looks like very good craftsmanship too. Thank you for sharing this with us. Sign me up for one.

Yes its just velcro and I take it off regularly when I vaccum the interior.

Yes! Thanks again for the post!!!. just finishing up a few mods on my Spyder, similar but a little different twist. I'll post when I'm done, hopefully they will look as tasteful and impressive as yours.

i'm not sure that this retro look integrates well with the modern interior - but for sure it looks different and interesting...

I've got the pepita (houndstooth) seats on my '71 914 and am seriously considering matching inserts on my new 981 Spyder. I've been VERY careful with the seats on my 914 since new and they've held up well. I'll be long gone when the Spyder is 45 years old so guess that's not an issue!

that's my car in the pic above.. the inserts are one of my very favorite mods. However, the fabric from england was a little on the thin side, so I'm very interested in hearing about the stuff you're ordering from belgium and how it compares.
