[QUOTE=Marine Blue;15040020]

There was some rain in San Diego which must have kept the motorcycle and cyclist away, it was literally dead on Palomar. We made the entire run up and down the mountain with literally only one car which pulled off not long after we came up behind it. Similar light traffic heading out to Palomar from Temecula and mild traffic in Julian too. The cars and drivers were thoroughly exercised and happy at the end of the run.

Such a fun run with a great group! Thanks Afshin, can't wait til the next one!

Great shots Afshin. Looks like a blast. And it's fun getting back into the Spyder after the A/C Targa isn't it? I spent 4 days in the 993 with my wife this week and I am looking forward to now taking the Spyder out. Such a great car and a HUGE contrast to the A/C's.

There’s definitely a big contast between the Spyder and the A/C cars but the one thing that surprised me most is the additional feedback and feel I get in the Spyder as compared to the A/C car. The best way to describe it is “granular”, you literally can feel exactly the surface the tire is on and what the car is doing. You can feel which tire is losing grip and which one has traction, I have yet to experience that in the A/C car. I will say that none of this is really evident in the Spyder until you really start pushing it past 7/10. Mind you I have spent a large sum of money getting my Targa to handle extremely well and its no slouch.

It's no good. I can't work it out. I've trawled the internet for over 10 minutes and I've read this thread right back from the start, all 14,000 posts. But I cannot work out what an "A/C car" is!!! Please help I'm going mad!!!!!

Or in the case of a Spyder "AC delete" = Air Conditioning delete.

Default Porsche 70th Anniversary

I think every So Cal Porsche dealer had a 70th Anniversary shindig today and Circle Porsche threw theirs at the Pine Street Pier in Long Beach.

Some great cars lined up and down the pier combined with perfect weather made for a great afternoon.

Some of the heavy artillery Circle had on hand.

Just too damn pretty to drive.

Get your CF fix right here.

It was an honor and privilege to line up next to Rick's "A" Speedster, which he has owned for 40 years. Thanks to Rick, I now know about the differences between Pre-A and A Speedsters.

RMS Queen Mary in the background.

The Spyder would often lure the unwary into its web.

Some other beauties:

Seeing the Spyder in the company of cars from the last several decades leads me to firmly conclude that it is one of the most beautiful designs to ever come out of Zuffenhausen. There is not one bad angle I've been able to find on the car and putting the roof up does nothing to diminish its sexy lines. After 2 years, 2 months, and 10,000 miles of ownership, I honestly love this car now more than ever.

Hats off to Leah Cecil, Marketing Manager at Circle Porsche, for organizing a wonderful event.

Happy Birthday, Porsche!

Great pix! And nice cars too, especially the Spyder, Speedster and soft window Targa. Yeah, not a bad angle on the Spyder, and I actually think it looks as good with the top up as down... of course I'm biased.

Finally got around to getting a few pics of the car the other day. At the right angles, this really is a gorgeous car.

BBS FI-R in GT4 size (tires) and offsets.

FVD Brombacher

Those humps! ROW tail lights with amber signals.

Car looks great! With the recent addition of the RS-30, you've made some very tasteful mods.
