IMHO this would be an excellent fit for your Irish Green Spyder
I did consider the same for my Riviera Spyder, but thought the Porsche Exclusive offer was a bit over the top with the price tag (4,500 EUR +19% VAT)...
Hence I am also interested in alternative sources. Did you ask cartex already ?

I've got the original OEM houndstooth seats in my '71 914. I'd love matching inserts on my incoming Spyder with LWB's!!

Figure someone here in the states could make inserts you could "replace" the alcantara if you wanted to.

I almost pulled the trigger on this but decided it might be a little too bright to live with. I'm sure they're not cheap so I gave up the notion. Cool thing is this company makes a duplicate set so you can always switch back and they're just attached with Velcro.

Those are my seats in the pics above, and although I talked to Tony at Autobahn about making them, I ended up sourcing them elsewhere, as I wrote in post #14 in that thread.
