Thanks for the congrats! I snapped a few pics of the car while it was still at the dealer. I should take delivery early this week.

$56k with 26k on the clock is to much money. I sold mine for that price with sport buckets and 17k miles. I bought the car new for 86k. If you buy a pdk 987.2 jus make sure it has sports chrono or add sports chrono in after yo take delivery. If you have it added aster you take delivery you do joy get the wart.

The silver accents like the wind and side intakes look fantastic on black... The current gt4 and Spyder should have that combo also. Nice car. I didn't realize prices were still holding that high but it's a classic vehicle

My PDK Spyder was a very pleasant surprise as it was a car I was not looking for when I bought it. Amazingly good for daily driving (Austin traffic is terrible) and just eats up the track (I use manual mode). The PDK is so good I don't miss the manual.

With the rumors that the 991.2 GT3 will have a manual option I will still likely get a PDK-S because they make throttle inputs feel quicker to respond and, somehow, the PDK cars feel faster (in gear, not even shifting) than the manuals driving them back to back. At the Porsche Sport Driving School they put the faster drivers in the manuals as a penalty to even out the speeds between students.

For daily driving, if you do not require a manual, I would go PDK every time.

I agree, which is why I bought a new 981 Boxster for less money instead. If I had seen an R with buckets for that price I would have bought it. Asking prices on the Cayman R just seem to be generally optimistic right now, probably because of the GT4 hype. Reminds me of the GT3 market.

I can't speak for others, but my interest in the Cayman R has nothing to do with the GT4 hype. I actually prefer the 987.2 Cayman to the 981 - the interior in particular.

The R has a unique set of features and is a pretty rare bird - I believe only about 500 or so we're sold in the US. Prices are relatively high but they do seem to sell pretty quickly after coming up for sale. The demand seems to be there for a unique lightweight Cayman that's based on the 987.2 platform.

Picking mine up in the morning and I can't wait!

Same camp. Wifey was very much in favour of the 987 cockpit, she likes old-school cars (nice way to say the 987 interior is dated). Plus I'm a used car buyer as I get bored after 3 years and will lust for something new. Already had a GT4 allocation and gave it back when I was able to get a CR with all options I want for half the money. Now I drive it like I've stolen it, trackway duty etc.

I guess it's all relative. I'm coming from an '87 Carrera and a' 95 993 so, to me, the 987.2 interior is incredibly modern

Well said and I couldn't agree more. I was fortunate to have been able to order my Spyder the way I wanted so for me it is the perfect sports car which has everything I want and nothing I don't. My only gripe is not having bluetooth music streaming, especially since the phone already connects via bluetooth.....then again I listen to the radio less and less each drive.
