Like I did for the 987 Spyder, I'm beginning to put together a database of the Spyders built to date for the North American market

Updated Jan 22, 2016...

Very cool, but where are you getting the info, is it being volunteered to you by owners, or is there a way to access this in a more formalized manner from Porsche?

My guess is through VINs. More than likely looking them up in numeric order. Not difficult, but time consuming.

I have 2 coming in with buckets, one is sold, one isnt.

You are punching VIN's in sequentially into the Porsche VIN lookup? Are you able to validate them first?

Sequential. the tricky part is the checksum digit - some VINs are valid but the Porsche VIN lookup does not show a vehicle. I use Carfax to validate VINs as well

I thought you might have trouble with the checksum, cause it caused me fits too.
