white verus carrera white metallic
would like to hear what your thoughts are for the two whites offered for the cayman ,, white seems to be like refrigerator white , CWM has a slight amount of metallic which makes the white look ever so slight less bright then white

Yes. I have seen both side by side and agree with your assessment. The metallic gives it a slight gray tinge in artificial light or shade

There are some great color comparisons on the 991 GT3 forum. Search over there.

To me, regular white looks sporty and Carrera white looks classy.

First - it's CARRARA White Metallic. As in Carrara marble. Nothing at all to do with the 911 Carrera.
Enough Porsche 101.
The regular white is a stark, featureless, bright white like a snowstorm. A white refrigerator is a good analogy. Carrara white has some depth, a bit of metallic flake, and a faint blue tint in some light conditions. It would be my choice of the whites available. Stop by a dealer and compare the two.

White looks like a rental car. Carrara white looks like a slightly dirty rental car. Just kidding. I like white........until I see all the other millions of white cars around me. But the best reason to get white is because it goes nicely with a red interior.

I've had both and prefer the pure white. Looks fantastic with black wheels.

I reluctantly bought a white Carerra a couple of weeks ago from another state because the deal was too good to pass up. I'm okay with white, but wasn't overly enthused. But when the car arrived, I was pleasantly surprised at how sharp it was. And after paint correction and OptiCoating, it's just stunning. With the black trim, black interior and Sport Techno wheels it's a clean, sharp, sporty look. Even my wife, who thinks every white car looks like a rent car, loved it. Now I'm really glad I got the white.

Looked at both...and a speed yellow
Chose standard white. Pure and brings out the lines. CWM changes with the day, light, my wife's mood..etc You really should try to see both if you can.
That being said..mine just looks grey now from all the brake dust and track doo doo built up on it LOL!

Was set on getting the pure white but after seeing them side by side in person, I ended up ordering Carrara white instead. I wasn't a fan of the slight creaminess of the plain white. Loved the slight silver/gray tone of the Carrara white.
