I have only seen a few with ceramics, hoping there are some people on here that are willing to share their options.

I have to admit that my primary goal was to keep options to a minimum. There were however a few that I just couldn't resist
- PSE
- Full Leather
- Crest on headrest
- Colored Crest on wheels
Eduardo's former Spyder probably wins the award of most options by far.

Spyders were a bargain...

For cheap thrills, compare the above Monroney to the base cost of MY2016 Spyder with no options except metallic paint:
The '11/'12 987 Spyder was a hell of a deal!

Here also is a nice summary of some of the last '12 Spyders and their MSRPs. Three of the PTS were up there in cost due principally to that expensive option I did this thread back in 9/2011:

Mine's a very basic car: White, MT, Adaptive Seats, SC, AC delete, Dynamic Cornering System, Sport Exhaust.
A couple of mods that would complete it: Sport bucket seats, GT3 Master Cylinder, HR springs to lower, +/- remove the cats

I always knew this car was a long term winner. I have a white car with 2400 miles, second owner
-6 speed
-LWB's
-alcantera everywhere
-sport crono
-PSE
-Black wheels
-PCCB
-AC/Radio
$89k sticker.
For me I've never seen a better one. Bought it the second I saw the listing and it's just perfect!
I wonder how many LWB manual PCCB PSE cars there are? When I went to look it had to have these or it was a no go. The PSE in the upper rev range sounds oh so special and quite unique. It's a magical car..... An it's quite funny how similar it is to the CGT if you drive them back to back.

Remembering back early days of the 987 Spyders...
I don't think many. My first major thread on Rennlist was on this subject matter back in September 2010. It started with the following observations:
https://rennlist.com/forums/987-981-...y-is-huge.html
Anybody interested in the history of the Spyder would be advise to read the entire thread. It had some very interesting comments by many members, including all early owners of Spyders that were active on Rennlist back then!

2011 boxster spyder (white, manual, LWBs, sport chrono, AC)
I've had quite a few things added to it over the past couple years.
-Tubi exhaust, E-Brake to alcantara, GT2 shif ****, Red/blk lloyd mats, Clear side markers, LED license plate lights, Passport 9500ci built in, upgraded brake pads, HID conversion kit, Pioneer Avic8000nex(best navigation unit I've ever used hands down), michelin Pilot supersports
And on a side note; it will be for sale come mid October when my GT4 arrives

2012 Spyder in Aqua Blue with custom two tone blue and black interior with alcantera seat inserts
Options include PCCB's, PDK, sport chrono, Nav, A/C, Bose, lightweight sport buckets, Bi xeon headlights, PSE ( which I would not get again) Also various interior parts are painted exterior color
I have added a hidden trailer hitch and removed the sport chrono clock (now hidden inside the dash) and installed a oil pressure gauge in the bazel.
I have just under 21,000 enjoyable miles on it.
It will be at Parade and was selected to represent the 2012 model year in the 60 for 60 display

60 4 60...and Jack!
please take the time to look him up! Jack Merrell is PCA's 2014 'Enthusiast of the Year' & a distinguished
fighter pilot during the Vietnam War. He is indeed 'An Officer & a Gentleman':
********************************************************************
The '60 4 60' Jack is talking about in his post above refers to a special feature of the 2015 PCA Parade
that will commemorate the 60th Anniversary of the club's founding by Bill Sholar back in 1955!
http://parade2015.pca.org/60for60.html
Have a safe trip to the Parade, Jack, and please pass along my 'saludos' to your lovely wife Sandy!
Unfortunately, I will not be able to make it this year!
Fit & finish is excellent. The top is a clever piece of engineering,
a mechanical 'ballet', which fascinates anyone that sees it go up
or down! The AWD doesn't feel intrusive in most situations. The
car will push at the limit on the track...and its heavier than expected.
But overall, a wonderful package! The biggest drawback is storage.
On the Spyder, one only has the front trunk which is smaller than a
Boxster's or Cayman's. I purchase a set of beautiful hard leather
fitted luggage from England which are exquisite...but you still
don't have enough for more than a weekend get away at that!
