Spent a couple of hours deep cleaning the leather which is a must for those with leather interiors. It was well worth the effort. The spyder felt lighter with all that less grime in the leather

Leatherique has a product called Prestine Clean. Once I apply it, I use a microfiber towel and massage out the dirt. For spyders with Carrera Red interior living within a 25 miles radius from my residence I offer free cleaning service

Nice Spyder! Congrats. So few of these come up with full leather interior but it really does dress them up and make them feel more special. I don't disagree that the best option to have is time in the seat driving though. I need to thin my herd by at least one, maybe two that aren't being driven enough. The maintenance eventually begins to own you, particularly with old ones.

My 2011 spyder was driven for 1300 miles in the last three years by the previous owner. I've had half those miles covered in the first week of my custodianship .. Saving these gems from gathering moss .. One spyder at a time

Nice Amar.

That picture above really shows off just how perfectly Porsche blended the door glass with the rear humps!

Ha ha .. Glad you noticed it. That is exactly why I captured the angle. You could draw an imaginary line and see how perfect they merge.

I'm worried about Joel. Normally he would be the first to comment on this post and rave about the window line on the 987 Spyder.

Joel, if you're reading this, please check in so we know you're OK.

Kudos! Can't imagine what kind of willpower it takes to mothball these cars and hardly drive them. Could never do it! Different strokes I suppose . . . .

Joel is busy racking up miles on his spyder
Nick no willpower needed if this is one of 25+cars

This is so true. You may think you know something about a car, but until you lay hands upon it you don't know anything.

Agreed, a proper detail will get you acquainted with the good and bad very quickly. But I do have to comment, why this antiquated wash with water method.
