Sorry Donovan. I know you, Afshin Joel et al .. all the early sypder cognoscenti would be upset, shocked and disappointed with this move. I assure you that the spyder is going to a great home just round the corner. I am also hoping with the sale of this and a few other cars I can get into a GT3 of the 70's

Good morning Amar - I feel your love and your pain bro. I'm with you on the downsizing of the herd. I too am experiencing the same struggle with not a lot of time to drive the Porsches I have and consider selling both and getting into a 7.2 GTS RS like yours. We'll see IF I actually pull the trigger. When I sold my first Spyder it was during some of the gloomy darkest days of winter but with the first sign of spring and seeing MY car driving around with a new owner waving at me it was wasn't long until I was on the hunt again for another 7.2 Spyder. So I think a bunch of us may put together a pool and bet on not if you buy another Spyder but WHEN! I give you until the end of next Summer.
In the meantime congrats with your finding another local PNW Rennlister to take over the stewardship of one of Porsche's finest cars. And if I read between the lines you may be already snooping up in that wonderful thin air of the 2.7's of the 70's with blue, red or green graphics over white. BAMM! Good luck on your hunt my friend!

Joel, two is the magic number. Anything more .. the cars own you and not vice versa. The magic of these cars is to actually interface with it. I am going for two book end 911's and would have to say goodbye to one of the most evocative models ever built by Porsche. Can't have em all and do justice. I hope my friends here understand.

We just give you less than 6 months to find another. (Am I being mean?

Thank you .. The lady in red is named "Go-lightly" since its a lightweight spec .. Just spent 90 mins cleaning the wheel wells. Have rarely driven it in fall inclement weather due to this exact reason (see pics) but a couple of weekends ago had to drive it. I paid the price today !!. Crud in every crevice. Now out for a final drive. Stay posted for the final set of pics under my ownership.

Pics as promised of "Golytely" after one final drive after a wash and wax. One of the most rewarding cars ever built by Porsche is now ready for its next custodian.

Out of curiosity, anyone here have a Spyder and an air cooled 911? I'm in the process of selling my Cayman S (and honestly having second thoughts since I spent so much time searching for the perfect spec), and I'm looking at splitting driving duties between a GTI/Golf R and either a Spyder or an air cooled 911. Anyone have thoughts? Getting both is not an option (for now).

P.s. I daily a 2010 base Golf. Love it and I don't worry too much about it. 5 sp MT, Recaro buckets, inline 5 (1/2 the Lambo V10 the sales rep told me ). Fun city car.
