I just transferred my GT4 deposit to this! #1 on the list!!! Super Excited for this one.

I know... I'm tempted to list mine. Figure better to do it prior to launch... Which is rumored to be April.... making it a Shanghai debut.

Looks awesome. Let the rumors of specs start!

Couple observations:
-Brakes are bigger than the GTS
-Rear wheels appear to be a new design?
-Sun Shade attachment points look to be on the fenders vs. rear hatch?
-The roof looks different yet similar to the 987.2 Spyder

It is a normal boxster top underneath. IMHO it is a camo ploy and what we will get is a boxster auto top with a ductail. That photo almost looks photoshopped.......... Anyway the article below spells it out pretty well. A lightweight Boxster with a slightly uprated 3.4. Could be a real fun car! Designated the Club Sport. But the Spyder I believe was a money losing proposition for Porsche they do not want to repeat. Maybe I am wrong. But now they have people who rushed to the GT4 holding up to see what this is all about. Mission accomplished if intended.

not mine, as I plan to keep it. I would also suspect that a 981 even with a Spyder badge will have the Boxster power top etc

^Well, this one looks like its a copy paste on the roof front from 987spyder.

Photoshop! Expand the picture and laugh at where the ends of the top end. Sometimes the internet is just too funny.

Yeah thats it...that is why the 981 is completely stock, wheels are not the LW versions, no body changes other than the photoshopped top...yep, they wanted to just try out the canvas top which is being held on by pixie dust.

The glass cut is from the normal boxster, they are possibly testing the new top until the new cut of glass can be run, similar to the 987.2. They might be using a rigged rear skirt on a new top design. Will be interesting if this turns into a real product.

okie dokie. Get your deposits in quick! There is ZERO chance the 981 will have the same top as the 987 Spyder...ZERO, NADA, ZILCH. If anything the 981 will have a better setup than the 987 and retractable as it was the NUMBER 1 complaint from dealers in selling the car.

The fact this photo shopped thing has a 987 top on it ( notice that one side is longer than the other and the right side almost looks as if it tucked under the humps tells me it wasn't even a good photo chop. It looks like a nice day where they are...funny how they are driving around all buttoned up.

Now I know how so much crap gets circulated.
