Still think that, at $54k MSRP, a yellow base 981 Boxster + X73 sport suspension (with or without sport exhaust) is the most purist and best bang/$ in Porsche-dom (maybe all of car-dom) today.

How was the feel of the shifter? Many magazine reviewers have been raving about it...

LOL. Don't think so. She's breaking it on for 9/1 at MRLS. Gonna get a clear bra and track alignment beforehand too.

I'd say somewhere between the 987.2 standard shifter and the 987.2 short shifter. IMO, perfect.

Depends.

If I could only have ONE car. One car for everything. Commute to work, track, fun, errands, etc. The cayman GTS.

If I were to choose one car to hold on to for the long term. Spyder. The next cayman will be even better. I don't know if there will ever be another car like the spyder.

the Auto blip is on Sports plus, but as it's a manual you still have sports mode.

All I see Sports plus do is turn on the auto blip

if you want to heal and toe you just use Sports mode.

best of both, unless I am wrong.

Does sport plus allow more yaw/slip angle than sport before PSM intervenes?

I doubt it will have 3 PSM settings.

they always cut back in any how ;-)

just a question about PSM off on yours, do you disconnect the Yaw electrics to stop PSM cutting back in on sharp turns.

I can get my PSM light to flash and cut back in on the exit of tighter turns which is a pain even when fully off. happens on my R also.

This is a problem with all new cars. No way to completely turn off PSM

I wonder, is the 996 GT3 the last one where you can turn everything (except ABS) off? (Nothing there to turn off anyway.)
