I was considering tinting the taillights of my 2014 Porsche Boxster.

Have any of you done this before? (please post pics if you have)

Would you recommend tinting them?

I find the stock lights to be a bit bright red

I have done this on my Cayenne S, looks great.

I used a product by Plasti dip, called "Smoke" works great and you can remove it if you don't like it.

And you can remove it if the cops don't like it. Some places it is illegal, or so I am told. Just a heads up.

No. Where I live young guys with old tricked out civics and altimas do that.

Besides, the last thing I want to do is reduce the amount of time someone in a car with crappy brakes has, to react to my braking, by making my tail lamps darker. But YMMV.

I just got them tinted, medium tint.

What do you guys think?

I'm not a fan of tinted tail lamps, but I think it looks ok without being too dark.
