Default My first Porsche, complete newbie here

Hi all,

Recent lurker, first time poster, soon to be P car owner.

I'm picking up a 2014 981 CS tomorrow with 14k on the odo.

Test drove it once and well, that was all she wrote wasn't it.

Coming from a VW MkV R32 with DSG so it's going to take some getting used to the PDK with MFSW.

Anyhow, on with my question - Need some input on these wheels that are currently on the car:

I think they're awful. Can someone please suggest some options for me?

I really like the 20" Carrera S wheel package, but I'm not about to shell out 6k+ for them.

Thanks in advance, you beautiful Porsche lovers, you!

Thanks! I remember purchasing from you before, for my MkV lol.

Would like OE wheels preferably. Does anybody know if the ones I linked to are OEM? I can't find any info on them, and would be a little weirded out that they have a Porsche crest on them if they're not OEM.

Plastidip sounds like a viable choice, thanks mate!

Might you or anybody else suggest other options?

Thanks in advance all...

+1 for Plastidip them all black.

You could also try thee O.Z. Ultraleggera wheels in 20"

You can add OE crest to some aftermarket wheels

Check with the guys as www.wheelenchancement.com as they can get you a set or my have one as a take off. If not they may offer to buy your wheels back from you if they are OEM Porsche wheels in good order and that could defray some of the cost of the 20" wheel upgrade. Also check the forums for classified sales.

Sorry! Have not had much chance to get quality photos, here's one attached!

It's got the adaptive sport seats with premium package, infotainment center with Bose Surround, PDK, PDLS, MFSW, partial leather (beige), but unfortunately it does not have SC, PSE or PASM.

I'm having trouble identifying these wheels. Anybody recognize them? Front tires are 235/35/19 and rears are 295/30/19. I don't know what the wheel offsets are, or if there are any rubbing issues (I have not stretched the legs out on this car due to my concerns with this wheel fitment). Will try to take more pics and possibly my step-by-step as soon as my plastidip package arrives and I have some time to devote to it. I've ordered matte black and silver metallizer - going for the dark anthracite with metallic sheen look. I figure I can run with that until I make a hard decision on which wheels to spring for. Truth be told I'm not sure my current setup is proven, so I'm afraid it will damage my car's longevity. Anybody have tips on what to look for in this regard?

I'm also not a big fan of this car's window tint!
