brake release noise
I have been experiencing a loud groan when I pull out without releasing the parking brakes. It is intermittent but usually there. It feels like the automatic release function is acting with too long a delay. Any comments or similar experience to share would be appreciated. BC

If you are referring to the someone moaning noise (and you DO NOT have abductees in your frunk), it is normal. As much as the comparison may hurt, my Subaru with the electronic brake and the boxster with the electronic brake sound identical.

Mine is a 2014 Cayman which has the automatic parking brake release feature. It works OK less than half of the time, i.e., making a short and tolerable groan. My A8 has the same feature, it works nicely every time with no noticeable noise.
