As of Friday night, we still had a few spots open at the underground Hyatt Regency Conference Center garage for Concours Prep!

Saludos,
Eduardo
Carmel

PS The 'Carrara White' Spyder under the clear plastic belongs to Rennlister 'Il Pirata' from Colorado!

PSS Jack's 'Aqua Blue' Spyder is parked outside at the Hyatt, next to a 'Ipanema' MY2012 .2 997 coupe. 'Ipanema' was offered on last year of the 997 & was seldom ordered, making it pretty rare. Have not met up with Jack yet. Need to do that Saturday!

Are there any sots left for prep? We just got in and had a whole day of rain and 1200mi of driving, so my nice clean car is far from it. It would be nice to get off some of the big stuff so I don't embarrass myself.

Yes. It's hard to believe. They are expecting nearly 300 Porsches at the Concours on Monday & the only prep area nearly full is the Hyatt Underground parking at Conference Center. The Salinas Room ( a very nice interior space) at the Fairground is nearly empty. Where is everybody else prepping the cars??? The concours cars will be coming out of trailers on Monday morning...or most entries are 'Wash & Shine' which require minimal prep! It's rather unusual circumstances.

Stealth: Come first to the Hyatt and see if they let you have a space!

Was there on Sunday and for the Concours on Monday. Was a lot of fun and lots of amazing cars. Here's one to keep the thread moving, and more to come later.....

Default 987 Rennlisters do well at Monterey Parade!

Just returned from Concours Banquet at the Monterey Parade.

Our own 'f4 plt' just won 'Enthusiast of the Year', a very prestigious award in the Porsche Club of America!

And 'il pirata' won fifth place in Class at the Concours with his 'Carrara White' Boxster Spyder! Congratulations to both!

Thanks for the plug Eduardo but I am not sure 5th is a win! Seriously though the prep garage was a lot of fun and I got to meet a whole different set of people. In my class the difference between 1st and me in 5th was only .5 points so it was very very competitive.
