Interesting stuff on the configurator...has pricing...if you drill down shows performance specs...did not see weight yet.
No big *** wing.
Anyone have thoughts on 20" wheels with sport suspension compared to 19" wheels?

[QUOTE=mooty;11224958]this is exciting.
and WHERE IS THE BIG A** WING. no wing is no GTS.
Call me crazy but I think the big a** wings ruin the look and lines of most Porsches. I understand that they have their purpose aerodynamically but esthetically they look terrible. Give me the pop up wing any day. The Carrera GT and the 981 Spyder have pop ups. I loved the look of the Cayman R except for the fixed wing. Call me crazy.

They could have done more. I am not really impressed. It seems like a package deal with a few hp thrown in.I think they are saving the cool stuff such as sport buckets, lighter weight, flares, aero/wing for the 981.2 Cayman R. They do have PASM sport but it looks like when you choose sport suspension option you lose PASM. It does not look like PASM sport is available from the configurator.

the main attraction even to the Spyder over the Cayman R was that it wasn't just cosmetic color differences over a standard version. It actually looks unique and different aesthetically which was a nice change. I'm sure these GTS variants drive amazing and are very capable. I am sure if they had a sport bucket option some people might consider jumping ship. Time will tell, but hopefully they don't make a 981 Spyder variant.

the Boxster GTS saves $8500 over speccing a regular Boxster S as closely as possible incl the interiors , and since Porsche charges 991S customers $17,000 for an extra 30 hp for the Power Kit , think of the 15 hp bump for the GTS models as an additional $6000 in Porsche gouge dollars for a " 50% Power Kit " ( I took out the price of the PSE already included in the GTS ) , so if you look at it THAT way, the GTS package saves $14,000 , give or take and will probably command higher % resale down the road to boot.
