gt3 master brake cylinder
hi all: just got my car back for service and had dealer install the gt3 brake master cylinder.........this 1 upgrade makes a big difference in pedal feel......instead of "mush" pedal is now really firm and solid....i would recommend this to anyone that does not like the brake pedal......

The GT3 master cylinder is actually two steps up from the standard master cylinder provided in the 987 ( including Spyder and Cayman R) One step up would be the PCCB master cylinder which is also the standard master cylinder offered in the Carrera S. Since PCCB's were offered in the 987 there should not be any problem with a dealer installing that master cylinder in your 987 and you will notice a firmer pedal.

IMHO it should be a standard fitment on 987.2's and certainly the Cayman R

I just had 997gt3 master cylinder installed in my '11 Boxster S by my independent P-car raceshop. I will drive the car in 2 weeks and give a report. (I'm out of town now.)

My god. I couldn't drive the cayman with the stock MC. The brake pedal would slowly go the floor at red lights. On track, the car was undriveable, with absolutely no brake pedal feel. Gt3 MC ought to be standard equipment. What were these factory engineer guys thinking putting an obviously defective MC in all the cars? Pretty shameful by my way of thinking.
