according to the last list I saw, this color is on the approved list
can't find any Porsches in this color, anyone know what it looks like or have pictures of a car in this color?

Steve:

There is a good possibility that 'Superior Red Metallic' is truly a Paint to Sample which a Porsche customer was able to get approve for his 991 or 981. The color of his wife's favorite lipstick or a early Datsun he owned! Note that there is no German equivalent name associated with it. And 'Superior Red Metallic' is not a color name I ever remember Porsche calling any of its 'historic' hues!

The attached list was posted at my old 'Custom Ordering' thread by cy456, but it has no date or author (usually PCNA's Joe West). We are told this is the latest PTS approved & feasibility study list currently available. The PTS window is apparently closed on all remaining MY2013 models and will hopefully open up gain when MY2014 production orders are scheduled after June of 2013!

I have also included on this post a photo of a rather unusual 'Porsche Exclusive' 981 which I saw at the factory on April 18th and which I will talk about on my next post on my 'Visit to Zuffenhausen' thread!

Saludos,
Eduardo

That GT3 touring is the only car I know of in Superior Red Metallic. It was pretty well documented at the PTSRS x Canepa Rare Shades event earlier this year during car week
