Ran across this on Ebay today.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-997-...E:B:SS:US:3160

A brand new 9A1 3.8 GTS motor. No core required. $15,500. If I didn't already have one I would jump on it. These don't become available very often.

Damn, that's tempting. General cost for install?

I know that the 9A1 fits into a 987 Cayman but has the same been done with a 981 Cayman? Anyone know?

BGB has done a number of them. They say it takes about 30 hours if I recall @ $90/hr. Contact John at BGB.

This really is a pretty good deal. The X51 power kit alone runs $10K from Porsche. LA Dismantlers sells used regular 3.8 S DFI motors for close to the same price. This is a new GTS motor.
