This thread began almost a month ago. Since then, OP has apologized and we've all made up with a big group hug. No sense in picking at old wounds. We're all good here. I just now received an infraction for strirring up the OP weeks ago...

LOL. You mean all hell could break loose in this sub forum and they won't notice for 3 weeks? Why bother when it worked itself out on it's own?

Nonetheless, rules are rules. I'll take my punishment.

It sounds a lot like double-secret probation...

Doyle - good question, here's the infraction grid. Before we instituted the infraction system, people got banned - too frequently in my opinion. Now, banning, except for spammers, is very rare.
Note that at the discretion of the mod, an infraction may carry no points, rather just a warning.
Infraction points expire as shown below. If someone accumulates 10 points (or more) there is an automatic vacation for three days. Note THREE DAYS as opposed to forever. Hope this answers your questions.
Best,
Bob

Michaelscain!
It seems sure that they don't understand what your situation is.
I have the same problem and my mechanic is working on it right now.
When the result comes, I'll let you know.
My mechanic checked all the lines from ignition and gear shift box, but he didn't find the solution.
Espere!

Hi,
Has anyone had this problem before??
I own a 2005 Porsche Boxster 987 (3.2) S.
But the car after left standing for a week has developed a problem.
My key is stuck in the ignition and will not come out!!!
I have found the tool in the fuse box which released the key, so thats good, and also the car starts every time, no problem.
But when ever i have to take the key out, its stuck and will not release.
How do i get the car to release the key?
Thanks for any help?
Michael

Did you find an answer to your stuck key?
I have the same Porsche 05 Boxster S.
Did not drive the car for two weeks and the battery completely dead. New Battery and ignition switch replaced. Key is always stuck after starting the car.
Thanks!

Any resolution? I replaced battery, new ignition switch and resolved and cleared all my fault codes with Durametric. But key is still stuck after starting the car.
Thanks!
